The widescreen DVD release of Transamerica is currently scheduled for May 23. Up-fronts for video stores begin April 11.
The box will include a lenticular slip cover featuring star Felicity Huffman both in and out of character, and the main box cover will feature a Mondrian-styled image of several of the film’s stars. Special features will include a commentary track.
The soundtrack has already been released under the Nettwerk Records label.

Dolly Parton’s song Travelin’ Thru for the film Transamerica was nominated for numerous awards, and a video has just been released. The video features Dolly in the studio intercut with clips from the film.

National Public Radio’s Douglas Hopper interviewed Calpernia and Andrea for a report on transgender voice coaching. The piece is set to air Sunday on All Things Considered. It airs around 4-5pm in most cities: check your local listings. It will also be available online after it airs at www.npr.org.
